Breaddd was a platform that brought early-career creatives together in freelance teams to deliver high-value solutions to business owners. Inspired by the agency model, it aimed to bridge the gap between freelancers and businesses by providing a framework for efficient collaboration.

We built Breaddd after recognizing there was a growing segment of early-career creatives seeking alternatives to the traditional corporate or agency model. Through user interviews, we discovered key challenges and market needs faced by both creatives and business owners.

Early-career creatives encountered difficulties in enforcing project scope, defining fair prices, and lacking the full range of skills to deliver comprehensive solutions. On the other side, business owners desired streamlined processes, reduced overhead, and confidence in achieving desired creative outcomes.

Inspired by the agency model, we saw it as the missing bridge between freelancers and business owners. The agency model provided a proven framework for delivering work, defined scope, clear processes, and pricing structures. We aimed to leverage this framework to create a platform that addressed the specific challenges faced by freelancers and businesses.

Breaddd tackled the challenges faced by early-career creatives and business owners by drawing inspiration from the agency model.

For early-career creatives, Breaddd provided a standardized framework that defined project scope, processes, and fair pricing guidelines. By adopting the agency model's approach, freelancers could effectively manage client expectations, reduce scope creep, and confidently establish fair pricing structures. This empowered creatives to maintain control over their projects and deliver high-quality work within agreed-upon parameters.

By forming collaborative freelance teams, Breaddd addressed the limitations faced by creatives in delivering comprehensive solutions. The agency model, with its diverse skill sets, served as the guiding principle. Freelancers could now leverage the collective expertise of their team members to take on complex projects that required a combination of skills, such as design, illustration, photography, and web development. This expanded creative possibilities and allowed freelancers to offer comprehensive solutions to business owners.

On the business owners' side, Breaddd provided a streamlined solution that aligned with their desire for reduced overhead and confidence in achieving desired outcomes. Inspired by the agency model, Breaddd offered complete packages that delivered significant value, such as Social Media Campaigns and Company Rebrands. By standardizing deliverables, processes, and pricing structures, Breaddd ensured clear expectations and increased confidence in the project outcomes.

Furthermore, Breaddd implemented a system where freelancers within a team were assigned specific deliverables, enabling fair compensation for each team member upon the client's acceptance. This system mitigated anxieties around shared project payments and streamlined the payment process.

Breaddd's incorporation of an arbitration system further enhanced trust and confidence by promptly and fairly resolving any disputes between freelancers and clients, ensuring consistent and satisfactory project outcomes.

Though the project was put on hold due to external circumstances, Breaddd had the potential to jumpstart the freelance careers of early-creatives. By drawing inspiration from the agency model, it provided a framework that empowered early-career creatives, bridged the gap between freelancers and businesses, and delivered efficient and high-value solutions.
